Amy is an adoption counselor located in our Madison office. Amy graduated with a Bachelors Degree in 1999, from UW-LaCrosse and then worked as a teacher, first with the public schools in Northwestern WI and then at Western Kentucky University. In 2003 Amy had her first child and moved back to Wisconsin, from Kentucky, and obtained a Social Work License followed by her Masters Degree, from Winona State University in 2006, focused on School and Community Counseling.
Upon returning to Wisconsin Amy began working in and eventually managing public social service programs for Children & Family Services, Mental Health and Long Term Care as well as community based services in medical and in-home programs which has kept her busy for the past 14 years. In 2012 Amy moved closer to Madison WI and pursued work in the field of Adoption which she feels allows her to combine her experience and interest into one position. Amy has always had an interest and natural inclination for assisting others on their journey to fulfillment. She believes that strong family systems are our best foundation for a life full of growth and is dedicated to providing support to birthparents and adoptive families.
Amy’s family, from her 5 children to extended family and friends, make her feel blessed and grateful every day. Time with them is her favorite thing, with gardening and reading being personal interests as well.
