Ukranian Saturday School Program

Good Morning!

I recently learned of an incredible program that I would love to pass onto all of you!

The Ukrainian Cultural School of Green Bay

This unique school keeps the Ukrainian culture alive by teaching its students the Ukrainian language, as well as its art and culture!

  • The language class is split into two groups: an advanced class for those that know the language and a beginners class for those who are just starting.
  • The Art & Culture program includes a Ukrainian dance class with a dance performance at the conclusion.
  • They will also make a beautiful Ukrainian-themed scrapbook.

This is an amazing opportunity for children who are from the Ukraine, but ANY child is welcome to participate in this school! If you would like your child to learn more about another culture and learn another language, this school is perfect!

Two other opportunities are being offered to engage in Ukrainian Art & Culture even if kids aren’t enrolled in the school!

  • Children can enroll in just the 14 week Ukrainian dance class, which includes a dance performance at the end of the school year.
  • There is also a Ukrainian Easter Egg class open to the public- including adults! This is a one-time class, date has yet to be set.

Attached you will find a letter regarding their upcoming school year. Following is some basic information regarding the school, as well as the additional art & culture opportunities!

  • School is held on Saturdays for 3 hours and 20 minutes, starting THIS Saturday, September 6th and runs from Sept – May. If you are interested in enrolling please contact the school. If you are interested in enrolling but your child is not able to start this Saturday, that is ok! Just contact the school as soon as possible to make arrangements.
  • The school is willing to offer a “drop-in” rate for parents who want their children to try out the school for a month or so. Contact the school for more information.
  • The Ukrainian dance class is 14 weeks, starting in January. The cost is $125 plus the cost of the costume.
  • The Ukrainian Easter Egg class will be held sometime in April. The cost is $40. Anyone interested should contact the school as soon as possible to get their name on the list as the class will fill up quickly. They are not sure what the cap will be on the class.

Please see the attachment for any other questions regarding the school. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask or you may contact  Olga Halaburda, school director, at 920-819-6656.
