National Adoption Day 2016

More than 100,000 children in the U.S. are waiting in foster care for an adoptive family.

The average wait for a child in foster care to get placed for adoption is 3 years.

More than 23,000 children age out of the foster care system every year with no family or permanent home

National Adoption Day is a collective national effort to raise awareness of the more than 100,000 children in foster care waiting to find permanent, loving families. A coalition of national partners – Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute, The Alliance for Children’s Rights and Children’s Action Network – sponsor National Adoption Day.

Nearly, 4,000 children were adopted by their forever families during the 16th annual National Adoption Day in 2015.
Join us on this special day as we support the community with Bowling for Babies 2016, and continue to raise awareness for the adoption community.
