ACI’s 40th Anniversary Community Art Exhibit
To celebrate 40 years of building loving families through adoption, Adoption Choice, Inc. is inviting artists and community members to share their perspective on adoption through art. Whether adoption is part of your personal story, your family, or someone you love, your voice matters.
Throughout 2026, selected pieces will be featured in a traveling exhibit across Wisconsin, highlighting the many ways families are formed through adoption and the experiences that shape those journeys.
Adoption: Layers of Love and Loss
Calling All Artists for Our Community Art Exhibit
Adoption stories are deeply personal, meaningful, and diverse. For many people, art provides a powerful way to express experiences that can be difficult to capture in words alone.
This exhibit is designed to celebrate the many perspectives within the adoption community. Through painting, photography, illustration, mixed media, and other creative forms, artists can share how adoption has touched their lives and the lives of those around them.
By bringing these pieces together, we hope to create a space for reflection, connection, and conversation about the many ways adoption builds families.
Who Can Participate
We welcome artists of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels to participate. You do not need to be a professional artist to submit work. What matters most is the meaning behind your piece and the perspective you bring.
Artists may include:
• Adoptees
• Birth parents
• Adoptive parents
• Extended family members
• Friends and supporters of adoption
• Community members who want to share their perspective
If adoption has been part of your life in any way, your story deserves to be seen and shared.
A Traveling Exhibit Across Wisconsin

The exhibit will appear at community events, partner organizations, and other public spaces, helping bring greater awareness to adoption and the many stories that make up the adoption community.
By sharing these pieces across the state, we hope to honor the families, individuals, and communities who have been part of ACI’s journey over the past four decades.
