This year’s Touched by Adoption event was held at the stunning Jan Serr Studio once again. The atmosphere was both elegant and inviting, making it the perfect backdrop for such a meaningful cause.

The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the inspiring speeches.

Emcee Mary Stoker Smith shared her own amazing adoption story, reminding us how much the views surrounding adoption have changed over the past 50 years.

Mandi Genord, current Miss Wisconsin, spoke passionately about her adoption platform and the importance of family and community support in the adoption process. Her words were uplifting and hopeful.

We also heard from Miami Dolphins fullback, Alec Ingold, who outlined his own experiences as an adoptee from Wisconsin. His heartfelt story of resilience reminded us all of the profound impact a loving home can have on a child’s life.

To cap off the night, the Hartwig family shared their journey to becoming a family of four, detailing the challenges and joys they faced along the way. Their authenticity and gratitude left a lasting impression, showcasing the real-life implications of our mission.

Our generous donors and attendees raised nearly $83,000 for birth parent support, extended community outreach, and strengthened program development. TBA 2024 was a resounding success, not only in terms of fundraising but also in building a community of advocates for adoption.
